Wang Guangyi (b. 1957) Born in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, he enrolled at Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts and graduated from the oil painting department of the academy in 1984. Wang Guangyi’s work pokes fun at the intersection of China’s communist history and the rise of Western influence. He currently lives and works out of Beijing, China.
