Matt Godwin is a West Palm Beach artist who debuted a body of paintings at the age of 18. This is one of the works. He has been featured in the news, local papers and periodicals for selling out three consecutive shows while still in his teens. Godwin has a well developed sense of the mystical. He constructs images of creatures who inhabit his imagination. Like "Arte Povera" artists in Italy in an earlier era, he uses humble objects as the basis for his art.
